Every first Monday of the month, discover quiet hours
Starting Monday, June 2, 2025, Balexert is partnering with Genève Autisme to implement quiet hours, every first Monday of the month from 08:00 a.m. to 02:00 p.m.
“Quiet hours” are a special time where the sensory environment is adapted for people with autism, hypersensitivity, and anyone seeking a more tranquil atmosphere.
Here are some key elements that constitute “quiet hours”:
- No music (or soft music)
- Dim lighting for a pleasant atmosphere
Who are these quiet hours for?
- People with sensory disorders (approximately 2% of the population)
- Families
- People for whom supermarkets are difficult to navigate, or who would appreciate shopping in a quiet environment
- Staff (a calmer morning and the feeling of doing a good deed)
- Institutions that bring their beneficiaries to teach them independence in a supportive environment
- The general public who are aware of autism spectrum disorders
