Every Monday, discover quiet hours
Balexert is partnering with Genève Autisme to implement quiet hours, every Monday from 08:00 a.m. to 02:00 p.m.
“Quiet hours” are a special time where the sensory environment is adapted for people with autism, hypersensitivity, and anyone seeking a more tranquil atmosphere.
Here are some key elements that constitute “quiet hours”:
- No music (or soft music)
- Dim lighting for a pleasant atmosphere
Who are these quiet hours for?
- People with sensory disorders (approximately 2% of the population)
- Families
- People for whom supermarkets are difficult to navigate, or who would appreciate shopping in a quiet environment
- Staff (a calmer morning and the feeling of doing a good deed)
- Institutions that bring their beneficiaries to teach them independence in a supportive environment
- The general public who are aware of autism spectrum disorders
